128KB VS 64KB L1 Cache?

I'm debating between a 4850e and a BE-2400
Yes, there is a clock difference of 200MHz but does the smaller L1 cache make a significant difference?
 
I don't know where you got that info buddy, but all Athlon 64 derivatives have the same amount of L1 cache. L1 cache is harder to change than L2 cache. They are all 128KB.

2 cores = 2x the L1 cache (aggregate)?

There are no C2Q's with 12MB of L2$ either...but guess what you can buy at newegg...

Could be the OP has fallen for standard craptastic marketing ploy somewhere along the way.
 
Actually, I started wondering when I saw the 4850e didn't list its L1 cache on the description when I made the comparison.
But when I checked cpu-z I saw that there was 64KBx2 L1 data and 64KBx2 L1 instruction as well. So that clears it.

And a 3GHz quad core = 12 GHz. I still remember when people running dual CPUs in a BP6 motherboard had the combined clock speed mentioned.

So I have 5.4 GHz of computing power!

Oh crap, I didn't even mention my cordless phone. I have two of those at 6 GHz each. That's 17.4 GHz, baby!
