The Staples deal..

Staples SKU# IM1033451 $89.99
Buy.com SKU# 10251644 $70.95

Call Staples and ask for a pricematch to buy.com
Add an item worth $4.05 or more

Use a $25 off $75 coupon

Get the ram plus some small item for around $50 and no rebates to send in. The Staples CSR did not charge me Buy.com shipping

Mine came in with Infineon chips 7.5 and c2 markings. I ran it at 140mhz at cas2 but was not stable. Did not have time to test it more then that.

"Outpost.com has the same ram for $69.99 with free overnight shipping."

"Your better off pricematching it with Outpost so you don't get hit with the overnight shipping charge that Staples normally adds with pricematch."

The rebate doesn't apply to this as well?

Edit: Right, never mind then. My mistake.

I bought the Kingston 128MB PC133 from Outpost for $69.95 with $20 Rebate offer bringing the total to $49.95. The memory I rec'd was CL3,Infineon 7.5. Not a big deal with me, especially at that price.

Here is the best part...I ordered the memory at around 10:00pm Friday night and yesterday morning at 10:45 AM, Airborne Express delivered it to my front door. That was barely 12 hours from the time I ordered! This is the first time I have ordered anything from Outpost so I must say that I am impressed with the service.

I love Outpost also. I just hate rebates so when I needed some cheap ram for a project I am putting together I went with Staples. Same price without messing with the MIR. I am already waiting for a few hundred in rebates now.

More raves for outpost..

If I have a choice of who I buy from, I would choose outpost everytime. I just wish staples definition of "overnight" was the same as outpost. Along with "in-stock."

Staples sucks.

why wouldnt the rebate actually apply? Staples Price Match Policy clearly says they match lowest final cost. they even mention how rebates are taken into consideration. why wouldnt' a csr match with rebate? then use the 10 off 50 & free shipping code (throw in 99 cent item) and get it for $40.94 shipped. (PM with outpost's $20 rebate)

PRICE MATCH POLICY (with regards to rebates):
"If Staples.com offers a rebate and after the rebate Staples.com's price beats the competition, no price guarantee will be given. You will be getting the lowest final cost by shopping at Staples.com. (For example, if Staples.com's price is $89.99 before a $30.00 rebate then your final cost is $59.99. If the competitor price is $84.99 without a rebate, there will be no price match.)"

wouldnt' this work the other way around?

Whoa they're sending yours in 2 days? they told me 5 days.. That sucks! Maybe there's a shortage in Los angeles?

damn, oh well, waiting 5 days is a lot better than waiting 6 to ??? weeks for a rebate.

they can't tack on overnight charges when pricematching for this particular item because it is listed as a 3-5 day delivery item. (remind them of this when you're on the phone with the CSR)

Get this, the staples gu told me they dont pricematch buy.com because they are an auction website. I told him how wrong he was and he called buy.com and thats what they supposedly told him.

LOL that is too funny. Just do the PM with outpost.com then. Cheaper anyways.
