not to crap your post or anything, but there had been several posts questioning the quality of this ram they are selling. many bitched they couldnt even do cas3 at 133. no wonder why accessmicro has such low score at the ressellerratings. i think a bette deal is the kingmax pc150 cl3 stuff at mwave. just my 2cents

If I currently have 64 meg of PC100 in my machine - can this RAM (PC 133) be added to it - or should I just order 64 meg of PC100.

I'm sure this is a simple question, but I honestly don't know. I am a geek in training.

McGlen.com has a 128meg/133 Zeus stick with lifetime warranty for $63.00 plus 5.95 shipping. Maybe a better deal. I've had no problems with McGlen on the stuff I've bought.

Mixing PC133 & PC100 shouldn't be a problem as far as 100FSB compatibility, if that's what you were asking. They should be able to run together at 100FSB.

BTW, I bought a stick and have it running at 100FSB, no problems. That's as high as I need to go. So it may be crap, but it was cheap and works for me.

it appears accessmicro and mcglen are the same people, altho their pricing and shipping charges are slightly different. Zeus stuff is said to be junk, but i cant vouch for it cuz i never owned one.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think McGlenn owns Access Micro or vice versa.

Edit: You beat me to it by a few seconds Brotherman

Banshee Mulet - thanks for the answer. I was wondering if I could combine the PC100 and the PC133. Looks like I can but just run them at 100FSB. Now I just have to decide if I want to chance it on this RAM - alot of conflicting reports on this board concerning this stuff

How bad can this memory be. According to AccessMicro's web site this is RAM from Zeus Components. Appparently NASA buys their RAM from them.

it's funny how some companies need so many names in order for their business to survive, if one name goes bad, they jump to the next one, pretty soon we'll see 4 names under the same company, another funny thing is the bizrate.com certfied logo they have but instead of linking to bizrate.com it links back to them, I wonder if they are really bizrate certified, that logo is awful blurry.

LOL, they printed the logo off somewhere else and scanned it back in or something!

Who remembers when a 128 MB (No such thing as PC133 yet) was about a billion dollars? Ok, maybe a little exagerated, but really expensive did that much RAM used to be.

Please forgive odd speech patterns...

Since prices are falling so rapidly, use the Amex card for the price protection guarantee: refund of difference within 60 days of purchase. Great time to use it on SDRAM since that DDR stuff is coming out soon. :)
