OK, so I came back from my vacation and boom, computer doesn't work anymore properly. After about 5 minutes, the task-list stops responding at all, can't change the size, can't click on the open windows in the tasklist, just nothing. The Windows-key also doesn't work, so I assume there's something up with explorer.exe. The time will also stop. When I try to start the Task-manager, ctrl-shift-esc doesn't work, when I try to start it thru the windows directory(open My Computer) it also won't start.
So I tried opening the Taskmanager as soon as I start the computer. That works but as soon as the task list stops responding, the Task Manager also doesn't work anymore. weird weird.
I'm using Windows XP with SP1 and some Patches(did the last update 2 weeks ago). Now I'm wondering, is there a virus out there that behaves like that? The computer functioned properly 2 weeks ago. Nobody else was using the computer during that time.
