126 FPS ? that's it? Quake 3 Timedemo 1

This is with frame rates uncapped.. unless u haveto uncap them right before you do the time demo do you? or is this about what everyone else is getting.. this is without AA.. with Quincuxx i get 90...

If you're using high quality settings, w/ the latest PR, it looks just about right.

nah, that can't be right, I get that at 800x600 with everything maxed out with my p3 933 and geforce 2 GTS, that might be right if your running at 1280x1024 or 1600x1200

nope, running 1024 max everything... BUT i am running 12.90's i had been running the 21.83's but max payne was having worse frame rates... now i dont think with thr det 4's i would be getting and extra 60 plus FPS? would i?

To uncap, look at your config.cfg file for a line that has something like:
com_maxfps

or

com_fpsmax

Set the value to 0 and try again. The default cap is something around 120ish, so that number you have sounds about right. Uncap it and try again.

hmm, well i "think" i uncapped them twice... the odd thing is.. when i am playing the game ill see the ocassional 200's but thatso nly sometimes? i dunno... i check that file though..

I've said it before and i'll say it again, at resolutions of 1024x768 and everything maxed, 126 isn't a bad score, it's pretty much the norm.

well im guessing you are right becasue with the Det 4's i would b e running in the 150 area... so seems good to me

Could someone quickly list the comands to start the timedemo? I havent done it in a while, and I keep mixing the q3 ones with the q2 ones and cant seem to find the right combo =)

then either "demo4" or go to the demo menu on open it there.

Got my Ti500 last night on my XP1800 box. Running Win2k, basic bench at 1024x768, all things maxxed, 148fps. At 1600x1200, 98fps. Quite a fast card, ihmo.
