hmm..they have bad things to say regarding the 92mm fan and this fan is very quiet..I own 2...better than Panaflo 92mm BX

I do not see specific review of the 120mm fan

Every time you buy a Vantec Stealth fan, God kills a kitten. Please, think of the kittens.

More importantly, I've owned each size of the Stealths; 120mm: Crime against man. 92mm: Just horrible 80mm: .... Surprisingly okay. Not quite Panaflo good, but close.

Pretty much every company lies about their fan specs with the exception of Nexus. I thought I had a quiet computer with some Evercool aluminum fans at 3.5v. I didn't know what quiet really meant until I replaced them with Nexus...

I have 3 of the 120mm Stealths in 3 of my cases. No trouble so far; and VERY little noise.

Shadowknight: Cats and kittens are my least favorite animal; if what you say is true; then I'm buying more Vantec Stealths. ( personally; I don't think God plays favorites. I believe he LOVES all who draw breath equally.)

I'm sure out of all the Stealth fans made you can find a decent one. They are not all "the same." Just as Nexus cherry picks their Yates for the least amt of bearing/motor noise. My experience with the Stealths has been the same as Shadow's. They are noisy, but then again, as always, quiet is subjective to the user. You will be happy w/ the Yates I believe.

I understand fan performance can vary...personally the Vantec Stealths 2 bought 6months apart are very quiet....

But if the 120mm are loud..oh well..just like the cfm/dba but this maybe tainted

This why I asked for opinions....I really like my 2 coolermaster 120mm fans but I hear such good things about the Yate Loons I will give this a try..since my Antec tricool is acting weird...producing alot noise at times then getting quiet..?? going bad

thanks

I have (2) 120mm Stealth fans, you guys must have some sensitive ears..or your case doesn't insulate noise very well. Mine are pretty quiet and has a lifetime warranty.

I've used Vantec stealths of various sizes on my Opteron systems and never run into the drawbacks SPCR is listing. I also have Sunon mediums of various sizes, Panasonics, Deltas, and Nidec. The only that really gave an issue to me was the Nidec. But, that was designed for a 5U rackmount chassis where noise isn't a concern and performance was. So, it can't be faulted for the dbA's.
