Any helpful info or suggestions are appreciated.

Looking for a few 120mm fans. I have little experience with 120mm fans. I am not really sure what I want. I just want a couple 120mm fans with high airflow and low noise. Silence is the priority, but I need the airflow as well. From my research it seems like Yate loon/Nexus are highly regarded. Coolermaster seem to be decent.

The fans I have been looking at:

Yate loon $3.99 at jab-tech and Tekgems yate loon

Cooler master 120mm SUF-S12-EB $6.00 shipped

Are these CM fans good? Anyone have any? They seem to have a good cfm/noise ratio similar to yate loons.

Which fans would you pick? The Cm's or Yate loons?

Thanks. Any info is appreciated.

All my 120mm fans are Yate Loons. I added 2 more to my cases as side intake and top exhaust. They are verrry quiet and cheap.

They push a decent amount of air and everything? Yeah thats what I like about them. Nice fans and cheap.

Im just debating over those or the CM's. Those CM's are on sale at clubit for like $6 shipped. Im hoping I can get someone who owns some to reply.

Theres so many fans out there, I pretty much had to just narrow it down to the cheapest higher quality fans I could find.

I've got a 120mm YL fan as my exhaust and the blue 120mm CM UV fan as one of my front intake fans. Both are extremely quiet to me (your sensitivity may vary), but the CM doesn't push as much air as the YL.

The YL fan does seem to be slighty louder than the CM, but I can only tell with the side panel off and my head being 3-4 feet away from the fans. For a good combination of airflow and silence, I'd pick the YL over the CM fan.

Thanks. Thats sorta what I was figuring. I just went ahead and placed an order for 2 yate loons. Should be fine. I can always buy the CM later if I needed.

Those CM fans seem to be of their "ultra silent" variety, which are basically inaudible but hardly blow any air. There is another type of CM 120mm fan that is a bit louder (still very quiet) but pushes a decent amount of air. I have a normal and LED ones of that type.

Yeah, the CM fans are quiet but don't push much air. I tend to prefer fans like the NMB SmartFan at bgmicro - reasonably quiet at low speed and can implode your case (if it's thin aluminum and tightly sealed) at full cry. ;)

Yes, the NMB Smartfan is very nice, if your rig gets really hot. The fans can get a little too loud.
If you system needs one, OK. But my rigs seem happy with the Yate Loons.
