I plan to remove x3 of my front 5.25" bays and install a 120mm intake fan via an adapter/bracket.

Does anyone know which companies make these?

I'm talking about things similar to these...
http://www.scythe-eu.com/en/pr...525-system-cooler.html
(read the fan is crap and filter is hard to access/clean...thus do not want)

http://www.lian-li.com/v2/en/p...sc_index=5&ss_index=12
(but without the HDD mount)

Ideally a kit similar to the Scythe but with a good fan and no extra HDD cage/mounts.

Cheers in advance fellas.

One comes with the Mastige series of Aerocool cases, perhaps you can buy one from them as a "replacement part". Or if you are handy at all, just glue the three bay cover plates together and make your own fan holder out of them.

I"m looking for a 3.5 80mm fan bracket. I know I use those 3 empty spaces for an extra drive er something. The hell with a floppy. If I ever need one, i'll just push on a power adatper cable and dig for a floppy cable and plug in that way, f having one sit there

Hmm. My CM 690 still has the optical drive metal covers in (actual metal, part of chassis, not black plastic bezel) and I can screw a 120mm fan in there... See if you can do the same.

Hey B-A,

Those are called RFI shields (the ones you break out when you put a drive in the bay. Yup, those can work - some cases they are held in by screws, the ones that break out make life difficult unless they also have screw fastenings.

Found a german stockist (probably not much use to you):
http://www.gamersware.de/produ...ling-Kit---silver.html

Would these be any good:
http://www.overclockers.co.nz/...an-li/acc/exrack.shtml

btw www.overclockers.co.nz is Lian li's official stockist, so you could always contact them and find out if they can order it in.

Have you tried fleabay? You may be able to pick something up there.

Funnily enough in my google search I found a thread suprisingly similar to this one:

@ seriouscat. Are you slapnutz777?

Thanks guys.

Yeah I've contacted Overclockers.co.nz ... unfortunately got an reply saying they were closed until next week for Chinese new year.

Guess I'll find out next week.

Not sure extactly how restrictive the grill is but it does have a thin filter rather than the thicker ones in other kits. Eitherway I'll probably mod it if needs be. The main thing I wanted was the mounting structure itself.
