Same here.
I'd rather have one 120mm intake @ 7v & one 120mm exhaust @ 7v than 4 or more 80mm running full throttle, but that's just me.

Also the 120mm are deeper sounding than 80mm. That makes them less annoying. It also makes it more likely that the case will absorb more of the sound.

i changed an 80mm fan Panaflo to a 92mm Panaflo,
didnt get much temp improvements..
but my case became more noisy...

so now, after getting a new thermaltake full tower,
I've decided to close it up

not bad... 30 C Mobo load.
and 42 C CPU load...

with case open I used to get like 40 C CPU and about 28 C mobo
trading cooling for sound now :(

i have an antec 3700, and now i will not go back to 80mm case fans, a single intake and exaust 120 mm is awsome, quiter and pushes more air per rpm. Until i get a filter big enough to cover the side of me case for a box fan, 120 mm fans are the way to go!

I got 120mm Fans now

Panaflo meds ...

much better temp and sound.

Hey if I remove the case mesh infront of the fan will it help kill some of the noise?

120mm where there's room, 80mm otherwise. My systems have one 120mm fan, on the window (both PC's), and they use 80mm fans otherwise.

My case doesn't support 120mm fans, but in the winter I only run 2 80mm L1a's @ 7v anyway. :)
