Hi.
I have extra Panasonic (DELL's case) 120mm case fan with 4pin connections: NMB-MAT 4715KL-04W-B56

(NMB-MAT DC Axial Fan 4715KL Series. 12V DC 1.30A 120mm x 38mm (4.69in x 1.50in) 3600RMP 130CFM and 50dB. Ball Bearings with Thermoplastic Frame and Impeller. Model: 4715KL-04W-B56 Y4574 H9073)

Can someone help me to configure it for regular PC 4pin connector(or something else) ?

1.3A x 12V = 15.6watts. Most motherboards are around 6~8W per header.
Some server boards can go up to around 18W for the CPU's fan header.
Check your motherboard manual for this spec.

My personal opinion. That's way too much fan for any MB fan header.
That is some serious cfm...130 from a 120x38! Put it on a controller.

My favorite 120x38 case intake fan is the 120 Sanyo Denki at Petra's. They will blow 48cfm at 5V in silence. Sorry OoS... http://www.petrastechshop.com/12x38sadesan.html
I sold 36 of these at $25 a pair, sleeved and shipped...last year.

That was last year, now prices went up.
Thise fan has 4 wires : red(+) black(-) yellow(?) and blue(?).
How can be it configure? Fan loocks VERY strong, it's thicker than regular ones.

Yes, most fans are 25mm thick but that one is 38mm thick.
Thicker fans generally move more air at lower dBA than 25mm thick fans of the same diameter.

I think, the white wire senses rpm and the blue wire is the PWM feed. Google PWM if you don't know what it is.
I'm listening to Ricky Skaggs, so a tutorial on fans is not in tonights cards. :)
Time to relax.

I just bought a new Dell computer and found it has the exact Panasonic (OEM from NMB-MAT) fan. It has a 5-pin connector but only four wires. The connector looks like:

The four wires are indeed: red, white, blue, and black.

I'd like to get a quiet fan to replace this fan. Can you please recommend one with the right connector? Thanks.
