Question 120GB SSD with 87% Life Remaining

Is a 120GB SSD with 87% life remaining, effectively a 104GB SSD for all intents and purposes? I was considering using my 120GB SSD with 87% life remaining as just a Windows 10 drive in a dual boot setup. That drive is not being used currently for anything. I'm using Linux Mint as the main operating system installed on my 2TB NVMe and I only would use Windows 10 when it is necessary. 120GB in my opinion is the minimum size I would want for a Windows 10 drive but with the remaining life left on it, that drive will be useless for me for that purpose?

What drive is it? I think it should be fine for basic use. I wouldn't trust it not to die necessarily, and would back up any important stuff, but this goes for all drives in general.

As for capacity and life remaining, 120GB should be fine for a Windows OS drive, but I wouldn't fill it too much. Again, this is true in general, that a drive should not be nearly full, it will start to slow down. You want a fair amount of free space, and if you need more room, get another storage drive for Windows. The life remaining is an estimate on how healthy the flash is, it does not mean the drive is lower capacity.

no, life remaining means the number of expected writes left. writes are spread out across the drive so that wear is level. the drive is still 120GB.
