And I'm tempted to return mine. The general slowness is getting to me again, plus the wifi reception is really poor and the speakers are really really quiet. My phone has way louder speakers than this tablet. I'm really alternating between, oh, cool, a small windows 10 tablet with full HD screen and this is too slow and annoying to use.

I've got a problem though. I wanted to take advantage of adblocker in Edge, but the tablet came with 1511 build preinstalled and I needed 1607 for edge to support addons. I did clean reinstall of 1607, but windows is having troubles finding drivers. I connected usb to ethernet dongle, so it found some drivers, but the device manager is still a sea of yellow triangles, for example wifi still won't work and I have no battery level indicator. There are no drivers on nuvision website either. Any advice?

Yeah, I think that you screwed up, doing a "fresh" install. You need to do the upgrade install, instead, and/or backup the "DriverStore" directory under Windows somewhere, that has your drivers.

Microcenter.com had a guide for upgrading their TW700 tablets, from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10, that I think applies to yours, in a sense. Might track that down and read it. I think it was a long review under their TW700 tablet page.

I wonder how many of these will end up collecting dust, or polluting the enviroment after their owners use them for a few months and then throw them away.

Yeah, I have at least 7 iphones from 4s to 6s, at least a dozen Android phones, a few ipads and 3 Android tablets. And now this Windows tablet. Don't even get me started on laptops and 2 in ones.

Nuvision actually uploaded a driver pack on their website for windows 10 which worked. It was all for naught though, I got too frustrated with lousy wifi reception, crappy speakers and general slowness that I returned it to the store. Just waiting for my refund now.

What software was so intolerably slow? I still haven't really put mine through any paces, really, but am not planning to use it for much more than e-reading (I actually prefer normal screens to "eInk" for that), so speed is pretty irrelevant for my purposes, and in any event, I don't see how it could possibly be slower than the < 2014-gen Kindle Fire HD 8.9 it's "replacing"...

Heh, I have e-reader and I like it way better than backlit screens for reading epubs. Of course it sucks for PDFs, but that's a different story. Anyway, these atom tablets are just laggy in general. They're fine if you stay in the windows 10 app store ecosystem, but they're just too frustrating for me to use as the actual win 10 device, meaning mostly using edge browser. Loading youtube page in edge with adblocker installed still takes 4-5 agonizing seconds when core-m machine does it in a single second. Maximizing youtube video in edge takes 1-2 seconds, there is often a split second lag when swiping from the right or opening start menu. Sometimes it also appears unresponsive. Just to be clear, all of these issues are not specific to this tablet, I've tried HP Envy Note 8 and HP 608 G1, and they too exhibit the same general lagginess. It's the atom core. Of course that is all subjective, I find this to be intolerable, but others may be fine. The wifi reception and speaker being too quiet are specific to this tablet, also part of the reason why I returned it.
