Future proofing involves spending as much $$ as it takes, in order not to have to upgrade in a year or so... That is not another way of saying "bang for the buck"
The $1200 budget doesn't allow for "future proofing".
+1The best way to future proof is to save money and spend it on future components (c) Ken g6. This implies that in order to save money, or avoid overspending, while still fulfilling the immediate requirements you set for the PC, you have to think about bang for buck.
