120 MB of Memory?

Hi Guys,
How is it possible that a computer reported a 120 MB of memory?

My long distance cousin was asking my opinion about a computer that he just bought.
It is consisting of:

Pentium IV 1.5 ghz
P4M266 - VIA pro savage DDR board for Pentium 4
120 MB ram?

Is that even possible? I thought memory esp. DDR comes in 32?, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1 ghz
am I missing something?

:Q😕

I see. I guess that particular mobo (or maybe all onboard VGA mobo) automatically reserve a set size of memory for the VGA function.

Thanks BUD. 🙂

Yes. You should be able to increase/decrease it within the bios though.
