I've been trying to do the math to figure out when I might be able to hit 1000 WUs... at my present rate, I could maybe make 1000 in another 120 days, but not knowing when the current project is going to finish, I'm not sure I'll make it. Suppose to end early next year right? I expect to hit 250 about the 18th of November, and if the project lasts long enough, I might make it to 1000.

Not bad considering it took me over 3 years to get to 79 WUs with the old rig.... heheh

Gotta keep on Crunchin'!!!

You should have at least another 120 days for seti@home.
They are talking about starting seti2 maybe the end of Feb or maybe in March. These things usually don't happen 'on time' so it could be April or later.
You could also see about increasing production somehow, is your machine overclocked?
Is your old system still running? Is it running the seti cli?

Hi:
You are a pretty dedicated crqcker and here is a offer.
If we get notification that seti is going down before you get your 1000 WU's PM me and I will crack for you so you can get the 1000 wu cert. I have 4 machines that do about 20 a day if that will help you out.

Thanks guys... I'll keep your names for later if it looks like the project is ending before I can get there.

I'm thinking that I might be able to run the CLI program in the computer at work. I might be able to add a couple a day with that system.

If I did that, I would set up using the same name, right? All the WUs don't have to come out of one machine do they? Or would it be better to set up my own mini team??

toft-dk... how many machines to you have in your mini team?

Bob, you just use the same email address when you set it up on other machines.
When it starts up the seti client asks if you are new or if youalready have an account, if you say you already have an account it asks for the email addy on that account then starts cracking.
That way you can set up on multiple machines all working at the same time and up your daily output considerably.
