cool, only one problem though...
i read some reviews and i see things such as:

"Broken glass, broken heart, December 11, 2003
Reviewer: A Kitchen & Housewares enthusiast from W. Harrison, NY United States
I ordered the burgandy glasses with the Bordeaux bonus- What a great chirstmas gift! Unfortunately the original box was packed in a larger box with bubble wrap on the sides and top, but not the bottom! There was a broken glass in each of the boxes! "

ah well, its your decision.
happy buying!

Actually it's buy a set of 6 and get another set of 6 for free so 12 wine glasses for 29.99, not 7.

The also have 6 red / 6 white wine glasses for 29.99 as well in addition to the 6 burgundy / 6 bordeaux glasses.

I actually bought a set and received them the other day---very nice glasses...the shipping package definitely wasn't padded very well but all of my glasses were intact and if any of them arrive broken, I'm sure you can ask for a replacement.

Spiegelau glasses are fantastic and rank right below Riedel. For the price, however, you simply can't do any better than the Spiegelau. Very thin, properly shaped, and great for either casual use or special occasions.

I actually much prefer white wine (Reisling, 'Traminer, etc) and would like to get 12 white wine glassses. Anyone see a way to do this? If not, I'll just get 6 white and 6 red.

Do the glasses truly improve the flavor? I find it amazing (though not unbelievable) if they do!

HAHAH...well yeah the reviewer is right....be prepared to receive a few broken ones---but I'm sure you can get a replacement...just don't expect to give it as an xmas gift at the last mintue. The shipping packaging is pretty poor, the glasses go in a thin partitioned box which then goes in an amazon box w/ a few airbags around the side. My first set arrived completely intact, but the 2nd shipment which just came today had a big 12" gash in the side of the amazon box---sure enough 3 out of the 6 were broken. Oh well--time to contact amazon. The glasses are good though....makes me wonder what UPS does w/ my packages

Dude, show some respect. I asked if anyone knew of a way to get 12 white wine glasses with the deal. I didn't ask if there are white wine glasses to buy. From what I can tell, 12 white wine glasses are not an option as the "best savings" deal doesn't kick in when 2 orders of 6 are in my cart. I'm gonna end up getting 6 white and 6 red, which is fine.

weird, who knew that they made glasses especially for *specific kinds* of wine ;) And here I thought I was getting the best by dropping it into my coffee mug after a good rinse! :)

If anyone needs wine to go in those glasses, there are some GREAT coupon codes on the major coupon websites for cheap mixed cases of wine as well as individual bottles. Just thought that may be of help to someone.

Dang, but at $24.99 don't qualify for free shipping.

I'm looking now for a cheap add-on... ;(

Try adding them to your cart and going through the check-out process. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Sure 'nuff?

Thanks! ;)

Edit: Be sure to add both sets (free set, too) to your cart, or use the "buy both now" button - the free super saving shipping does work @ $24.99. ;)

Really hot deal.

Got mine yesterday. About a week before they said they would arrive. *sweet*
1 box of six made it completely intact. *sweet*
1 box of six arrived with a dent and 2 broken glasses. *not sweet*
Contacted Amazon and they replied hours only later and have sent a replacement box and a mailing label for me to return the damaged box *sweet*

Quality of the glasses is excellent. I will be sure to pick up a decent bottle of wine at the store tonight to break them in.
