The reports indicate there may be at least twelve and maybe even as many as fifteen victims involved in this incident.

Temple ISD reports they are on a “soft” lock down in connection with the Fort Hood.

“Temple Police Department requested Temple ISD place all campuses and district buildings in a soft lockdown, due to a situation at Fort Hood, TISD spokesperson Regina Corley told News 10 by news release.

“We have been directed to follow our regular dismissal schedule,” Corley said in a follow-up release.

Details have not been released but it is known that ambulances and police are converging on a location in the center of the sprawling military post.

Ambulances from several agencies have been dispatched.

One unconfirmed report indicates an armed gunman has fired several shots and may have hit several people.

Ft. Hood officials report the area is not secure.
~~~~~~~~~~
Fox reporting the base is now on lockdown.
Happened at Bldg. 4200 — key supporting for
Fort Hood’s power projections. Also, medical,
dental, legal, financing, mobilizations, etc.
Two shooters in military fatigues .. one in custody.
MP’s taking control of the base. No media allowed.
wow, multiple shooters? terrorists?
HOUSTON (Reuters) – At least seven people were killed and 12 wounded in a shooting at a U.S. Army base in Fort Hood, Texas, on Thursday, local media reported.
One gunman was in custody and another was on the loose, local media reported.
One station said there was a third shooter involved.
The attack happened at the Soldier Readiness Center at Fort Hood, according to the FOX 4 television station.
The base is currently in lockdown mode, according to Fort Hood's website.
Fort Hood is halfway between Austin and Waco, about 60 miles from each city, in Texas.
Possible three shooters, I'm thinking terrorists too. Crazy psycho soldiers usually last out and act alone. Three? Suspicious.
ugh I wish people would stop throwing the word terrorist around... that shit is all over twitter and creates bullshit panic for no reason. There are no details yet, just wait for the report before scaremongering.
Haven't heard of packs of crazy people hitting an army base together before... Terrorists have planned on hitting army bases before.
Didn't a solider in Iraq throw a grenade at other soldiers? I dunno, I just highly doubt this was anything other than domestic morons. What type of morons, I have no idea.
Unfortunately, this sounds eerily similar to the Fort Dix plot.
Either way, this is bad and my heart goes out to the soldiers there and their families. Hopefully, all of the gunmen can be captured/put-down quickly.
If only someone else there had a gun, this could have been avoided....
...oh.
You're really fucking dense sometimes.
LOL, yeah I'm sure a couple of terrorists decided to attack and army base on foot. Makes perfect sense :rolleyes: Do you people listen to yourselves?
what is your theory then? 3 high school kids dress up in camo/military uniform with trying to do a columbine in an army base?
i'm just going by what the media is reporting. and i think 3 mental patients snapping at the same time is unlikely.
OH OH, maybe it's Auric Goldfinger's half-brother trying to rob Fort Hood disguised as a solder.
Soldiers don't carry loaded weapons around on base.
Ok it looks like some people have gone and taken me seriously. Big mistake :p I was parodying the stupid parodies of the anti-gun nuts. I'm neither for or against gun rights in USA, really.
Anyway, :rose; for the families, and I'm interested in finding out who the attackers were and what motivated them.
