seen it, very pleasantly surprised.
to me, SyFy stuff really blows, but this was really good in comparison. the science didn't hurt my feelings and the acting is reasonable. production is pretty decent too.

they did cover most of the film in the pilot... this just leaves more space for new stuff.

almost thought they were going into a mini reboot with the jump during the invasion tonight. overall it's been a pretty decent series.

Loved the movie, am 100% certain I will hate the show. The characters don't look like Bruce Willis or Brad Pitt and SciFi isn't exactly known for quality programming. And, with the 'twist' already ruined, I just don't see how much of a show this could possibly be. I give it MAYBE a single season, and that is only if it spends more than half the time in the future.

FWIW, they're calling it a complete re-imagining of the movie, and it's pretty clear that they won't be using the movie twist in the TV show due to the antagonist's agenda.

Ummm.. plot development.

What the fuck, so Ramses goes back in time to make sure 6-7 billion people die so his fucking son can live? What the fuck? But unless I missed something, he was okay if Cole went back in time so both of them wouldn't have been born? You know what parents do for kids though....?

Undecided if this is bad writing or just a really bad person who used to be the moral compass.

At first he was okay about time traveling because he didn't know that his girlfriend was still alive (and pregnant)

Everything was believable up until he went back in time to help kill 7 billion people.

Stop the project, stop Cole from changing the past, okay.

Deliberately go back to kill 7 billion people when you've been all about doing the right thing so far... Definitely yes: Go back in time to kill 7 billion people so your wife/kid can live like rats in the future until they get murdered by roving gangs.

Show's kind of jumped the shark for me.

They are coming.
BTW, why is it that nothing happened when big Cole touched the dad? Are they going to say that he wasn't Cole's real dad?

Who the heck are the gray faced guys? Why would anything happen when he touched his dad? Its only if 2 of the same thing get close or come in contact.

No, they said the same DNA is what causes it.. so, his dad has parts of his DNA...so, it should at least cause a pimple... or something.

Looking forward to season 2, but the two "leaps" in the story still bug me with how they were developed.

rather interesting ending. If I understand correctly how they want it to appear, the majority of the season, right up till about 2 minutes to go, everything we were seeing was preordained history. Even though the "future" thought they were trying to fix things by going back, they were in fact just fulfilling history. Now when Ramse gives the serum to the girl and then when Cole decides to go back and save Ramse, they've thrown a big loop into things and have seemingly now wrecked things for that faction (12 monkeys?) that thought they were controlling things.

I guess we will see what happens next... it starts back up tonight.

"Year of the Monkey"

There is also another new show called Hunters right after 12 Monkeys, didn't get a chance to watch the 1st episode last week though, so, no idea what this is about.

it started last week, yo. And once again, they have someone they need to kill in front of a gun, and yet they don't shoot. i hate when they drag on shows in this stupid way.

Hmm? No, April 18th (today) is the first episode for season 2.

Just saw the second season premiere... pretty good.

Couldn't tell if their sit-in for New York was Manhattan or Toronto. Thought I saw a Toronto taxi, and Chinatown looked like Toronto Chinatown.
