Still neat though.

They could probably do nVME via thunderbolt 3.
But then it would be more sense to make it external.

I seriously have no clue on why they would make something like that.
Its realistically a 3 x 4 and not a 1 x 12 like your made to believe.

So, do you get 12 drive letters or is there some kind of RAID going on? Too much $$$ for non-raid.

if i read it right, its 3 backplanes.

So 4 drives divided into 3 back planes with 3 sata connectors.
Hence why i said 3x4 and not a 1x12.

So i would against assume, lowest number of drives is 3, and well you could raid 5/6 to a single drive.
