12" Laptop with port replicator

Right now my wife uses two computers. An old Desktop and a laptop with no port replicating ability.

I'm thinking about buying her a new 12" laptop that has the ability to use a port replicator. Mainly to give her the ability to use a larger monitor when she wants to. I don't want to use a USB replicator for video, I tried it before and it's ugly.

She's a web surfer and email writer, she doesn't play games.

Any ideas on a good brand? Dell? Something else?

I would reccomend Lenovo or Macintosh. Many new laptops have a VGA or DVI port in addition to USB, so using an external monitor is easy.

Good point. Not sure if my wife wants to mess with plugging and unplugging things all the time, though. She'd want something that is a snap to put in and push a button to snap out.

Perhaps I can get a business-model laptop with what I'm looking for...
