12 gauge personal defense loads

Just bought a box of the Winchester PDX1 12 gauge defense shells. This stuff looks pretty impressive, I cant wait to get a good range report on it when I test it out.

1oz slug + three 00 buck pellets

Not sure if I want to use this stuff over my standard 2 3/4 00 buckshot rounds, I wonder if the 1oz slug will make up for the 6 missing 00 pellets and then some.

.22 short is to rifles as 12 gauge is to shotguns, if it's smaller than 8 it's good for crowd control and small game (deer and smaller) but it'll never be impressive.

I've shared my WWII helmet/memorabilia collection on here before. I also like to read books. I just finished 'The Stand', and I am almost done with 'Under the Dome'. Oh, I like to run as well.

I also like long walks on the beach.

I've never heard of anything below a 10 gauge. If they even existed at all, they were made a long time ago and are not in current production.

I'm assuming your not going to be toting this around so it's for home defense, I would rather have tactical 00 myself.(smaller spread than regular) Why do you need a slug inside the house? If you have something else in mind then never mind.

I own an 8 gauge, it's just that you are not allowed to buy anything above a 12 gauge in the US.

Our gun laws in the UK are not as rigid as yours.
