Everyone tells me this is an awesome series boring and slow in the beginning ( which it was) but to finish it because the ending was so incredible. I manage to sit through the whole series to be utterly disappointed! :|

I want the time it took to watch this and Neon Genesis Evangellion back both of these "ground breaking benchmark series" were horrible!

heh, i usually dislike anime that tries to be deep and psychological. lots of anime fans these days like anime that messes with your mind or tries to change your perception of life and crap.

bleh. i don't need some weirdo otaku writer/director telling me how i should think and live my life.

If you didn't like Eva, you only have yourself to blame for sitting through all of Lain ;)

I think evanglion is a masterpiece. I'm on episode three of Lain, and so far I am really impressed with it. Maybe you just aren't into anime?

Then you need to edit the title of your post to say, "Possible Spoiler," Maleficus.

Stay away from Twin Peaks and the X-Files then, you won't like them either ;)

Lain is a subtle drama rather than action-oriented, which isn't everyone's cup of tea. Many people attach the same "boring" label to one of my favorites, A Wind Named Amnesia, but it's only boring if you don't enjoy character studies.
