Starting 12/8 CompUSA has Max Payne for $19.99 - $15 instant savings = $4.99. Not too shabby if you don't already own this pretty good game. Good stocking filler.
They also have Railway Tycoon for $9.99 - $5 instant savings = $4.99.

Yup, very nice deal for a great shooter. About a year old now - I remember being excited to get it LAST Christmas... Amazing how games become virtually free after around 12 months of shelf time...

I'm definitely picking a few up for stocking stuffers. If they'll fit in the stocking that is... 😉

Also, in the Virginia/Maryland/Washington DC area, the Sunday Washington Post is now published on both Saturday and Sunday. You can buy the paper with the circulars enclosed at just about any grocery store or 7-11. The Washington Post has such a large distribution, if the DMCA - or any retailer for that matter, tried to stop these distributions on Saturday, the Post would just do a boycott of them. Essentially, the retailers will not fight against the Post -- so, we'll have the circulars on Saturday for quite some time. 😉
 
I just bought 2 copies online with $0.01 shipping per item. Beats driving to the store only to find that they sold out.
 
Regarding circulars on Saturdays: Same deal in Chicago with the Tribune and the Sun Times. Sunday edtion is at the newstand on Saturday (around noon or earlier).

CompUSA.com has a 1 cent shipping deal so you can get Max Payne for $5.00 + tax shipped! Sweet...

Any opinions on how good a computer this requires? I've got a Celeron 850 Mhz w/ a Geforce2 MX. Maybe I'll upgrade someday but I'm just not feeling any rush 🙂.
 
cmv, your computer should be fine to play this. I bought it when it first came out and used a celeron 500 with geforce 2 mx to play and it worked great.

do some searches once you get it; there are a lot of mods available. My favorites where the first person perspective and the unlimited "bullet time" ones.

I just checked compusa' site and it is now listed at the cheap price.

I got mine last night...thought the deal was started already so I was in the store. I'll go back and get a price adjustment today. So I pay tax on $5, big whoopee but I get it today. 😛
 
You can also get it for $3.49 + tax at Best Buy B&M with a pricematch and the 10% price guarantee.
Maybe even for $1.49 + tax at Circuit City B&M if they're selling it for $39.99.
