12.1" laptops that have greater than 1024x768 resolution?

Not likely. The market would most likely not justify it - you'd have to read text with a magnifying glass. 🙂

I have a 10.6" notebook with a 1280x768 screen and a 15.4" with a 1920x1200 screen. Both of those have approximately twice the pixel density that a 12.1" at 1024x768 has... trust me, there's a market. ;-)

it's probably not that bad. 1400x1050 on a 12.1" is only slightly dense than the machines i have. you probably aren't going to find a 15.4" WUXGA (1920x1200) laptop on display, but your local compusa probably has the T150/T250 which is a 10.6" at 1024x768, go check it out, you might be surprised.

its not bad at all, i own one

the real estate is worth it...terrific resolution for those who want it

you can always make text bigger....
