They'll probably take credit for the jobs created in their area while lambasting Democrats for handouts to areas that are not theirs, and decry them "picking winners and losers", with a side of "renewable energy is a sham".

I'm all for expansion of green/renewable energy - I'm just curious whether conservatives will view $11B in funding for rural communities as a handout, evil renewable energy, or job creation?

Kudos to the Biden Admin for pushing us forward
Since it's aimed at rural communities, the righties would be stupid to oppose this...this is something that might actually BENEFIT their base.

Oh wait...if it helps their base, it has to come from the (R)'s...not the (D)'s. They'll oppose it along party lines.

If it helps their base, they aren't interested. They're just lambs to the slaughter.

I look forward to the subsidies for urban wind farms! It would take care of the pigeon problem. On a serious note, urban solar could use a boost. Shade those freeways with a million solar panels. Shade the south faces of sunbelt high-rises as well. There is a lot of urban space for solar that isn't being used as solar builders would rather sprawl on green fields.

I guess it's a net positive, although I'm not a fan of throwing money at rednecks who will take the money with one hand and flip us the bird with the other.

Keep that money in the cities and suburbs. I was all for helping out the rural folks until they showed me they want to destroy my freedoms and all that is decent in the last 6 years. No matter what we do for them they are hopeless in our or the next 4 lifetimes and will destroy this country. Why give them more of our resources? It's like giving your self-proclaimed enemies more resources to fight you with. Stupid.

Fuck them all to hell.
