Good gawd...my wife would nail my nuts to a stump...and push me off backwards if I even suggested such a thing... :D

I remember looking at a 50 or 55 inch Pioneer Plasma in the early 00s...It was almost $10,000 at the time.

Why is there such a massive premium on the 116" model over the 98-100" ones?

Regardless, $13K sounds insane for a technology (mini-LED) that is probably on its way out to give way for micro-LED, at least in the high-end TV scene (of which we don't really see Hisense being a significant player).

The latest ones always carry the Early Adopter tax to help make up for initial costs, 100" TV's are now as low as $1k.

135" is next, which is why the 115/116" TV's are dropping from $20k to $13k.
