our 115v electrical plug does it blow?
i have persons from mexico bring me a computer that was set to 235v.

Interestingly I tested this on an old PSU, flipped the switch to 230V plugged in in a 120V outlet and it operated normally 😕 was hoping for something to happen 🙁
What I was saying is if you have the switch on 115V and you plug it into 230V mains, it will pop something on the primary since it essentially tries to double the input voltage.
I thought Mexico had 115v as standard, at least to where I have been in Mexico, unlike most places in Europe that run 220v. And yes, as a general rule 115v input on a 220v switch setting shouldn't hurt anything, whereas the opposite will, as has been stated
