1155 Motherboard for Media Server Build

Hi Folks,

Starting a new thread (from my previous one). I'm looking for a good 1155 socket motherboard. The only real requirement is that it have 6 SATA slots. What I have found is that this is typically:
  • 2x SATA 3.0 (6GB/s) slots
  • 4x SATA 3.0 (3GB/s) slots

That's perfectly fine.

Over the years, I have come to prefer working Gigabyte motherboards over all other mothebroards, but I'll keep an open mind this time around.

I'm looking to build a media server, and want an 1155 socket mobo, and I'm trying to keep the motherboard price around $100 or lower. I'll go as high as I need to but I'd prefer to pay less if possible. Any recommendations given my requirements?

Thanks!

requirements? what requirements?

You using the intel video? What CPU? Overclocking? etc... theres a pile of things you did not say so any board could be great or awful based on your "requirements"

This is gonna be your cheapest option for Gigabyte which will allow you to use the intel intigrated graphics.

Is it a good one? Guess pretty new at least to Newegg. Might wanna google it to see if any problems have been reported with it. I've never had a problem with a Gigabyte MB but to be honest my last three MB were Asus, Evga, and currently Asus again.
