What you have to keep in mind is that they are still selling 1155 processors, so why would prices "bottom out"?
I mean think about carefully. They release a new product socket and CPU line, but there are still millions of people with 1155 boards. Which means the actual consumer base for buying 1155 CPUs is still there.
90% of people on 1155 won't trash their rig and buy the new technology, they will most likely just upgrade within their current socket.
Prices don't bottom out, the products just sell out and disappear over time.
At most you might get $20-$40 discount if a store want to sell exclusively the new technology, but Intel won't be lower their prices.
At least it has never happened before.
