Just figured I'd share this with everyone:

http://service.futuremark.com/...14&XLID=0&UID=11122852

I got this score running the 163.71 Beta drivers.

634 core
2.5 shader (1585)
1035 mem

Pushing the shader up to 2.5 increased my score by almost 400 points. I haven't tested with a higher shader yet, so i'm going to try to bump the multiplier to 3.0 and see what happens.

How do you change the "shader" and "multiplier"?

All I see in Rivatuner are clock and memory speeds..

I have the same card as you and would love to see those scores! Help a noob out!

ok, final score is 11187. Not a whole lot better, but it is a minor improvement.

http://service.futuremark.com/...14&XLID=0&UID=11123504

Here's my final settings:

634 core (edited... i accidentally put 624 the first time)
2.65 shader multi (shader running at 1674)
1034 mem

A couple things to note... the shader goes up in increments of 54 mhz and from what i've read, this can't be changed. The standard max shader you can get is 1728, however I couldn't reach that without seriously clocking down my core and then increasing the shader multiplier. Most likely you'll be able to hit either 1674 or 1728 max shader multi.

How do you change the shader multiplier?

Install rivatuner 2.0.4. when you open it up it may give you a warning about the driver version being unsupported. This is ok.

Go into Power user.

ONLY DO THIS PART IF YOU ARE RUNNING XP. NOT NECCESSARY UNDER VISTA.
Click the + next to Rivatuner \ System
Go down to NVAPIUsageBehavior and set it to 1
Click OK to save the settings.

VISTA AND XP USERS MUST DO THIS PART
Open Rivatuner again
Go into Power user.
Click the + next to Rivatuner \ NVIDIA \ Overclocking
Change the ShaderClockRatio to 2.5
Open the hardware monitor (go back to main, click the top customize button, 2nd icon from the right)
Now, change your 2d AND 3d clock speed just a little, hit apply for both. you should see your shader clock change in the hardware monitor. Change the clock speed back to what you had it set at and hit apply again.
You have to change the clock speed for it to realize the shader changes.

Hope this helps everyone out.

What quality? Are you talking intellisample quality? Right now it's set to performance (2nd from the right) with all 3 optimizations checked. Or are you talking about anis, AA, etc?

Oh god no :(

HQ settings w/ optimizations off ftw...otherwise it's basically cheating (also cheating you of the quality you could be getting).

I don't know that I'd say it's cheating considering it only made a 50 point difference. At high quality with all optimizations off, I got 11138. I'll take a 50 point drop for noticeably improved visuals. :)

I did a pretty mild overclock(600/975) with this trick and got 10400 3dmark06! Thank you for the information!
