Purchased this OEM version from newegg they were out of retails at the time. Hopefully this might prove that OEM Don't suck for OC like some have said Heres the details:
Intel 2.4C OEM
Abit IC7
AX7-SmartFan @ Full Speed
Geil 3700 2x256 relax timings (2.5-3-3-7)
and everything else...

Cpu Code numbers:
SL6WF MALAY
L310A735-1662
Is what i got off the heatspreader...

It boots at stock voltage 3.3ghz
Boots 3.5GHZ at 1.57 (1.55 actual)
Load is 58c running prime though Abit mobo temps arent very accurate so give or take a few degrees.
It wont boot up at 3.6 do to over-heat at any volts...
Im thinking of getting a Slk 900 witn Panaflow 66CFM or the Zalman 7000 Series HS/f since its a bit cheaper and comes w/fan. Which would hopefully get me to 3.6 and 1200mhz even w00t!

58c on an abit while running prime is actually very good as most agree the temps are on the high side....

For that reason I can't see how heat would be an issue in even booting for that simple of a boost in mhz....I would imagine 60's for the load but idle would have been low enough to boot...I think it is something else....Like the limit maybe!!! they go fast once they require any juice above default vcore....

I would go back and fine the limit where default vcore (actual) no longer would run stress testing for 4-6 hours...usually from there I can't get much more then 150mhz max with boost of vcore up to 1.68v max....

Is that running 1:1 or 5:4 memory divider. If it is 1:1 that could be your limiting factor. Just a thought...

Wow, on in the 50s? My retail 2.4C w/ IC7 mobo OC to 3ghz runs at 65-68C under Prime. 45-50C idle.

Let me clarify my earlier statement. It does go into windows at 3.6 but it doesnt take long for Windows to crap out running prime. Temps go over 60c+. I just ordered the zalman 7000-CU HS and a 92mm YS-Tech 66.3CFM. Which i plan to mod on the 7000-CU. According to zalman its own fan runs at 2400rpm on high. Which should be in the 40's CFM. So i will update the thread again if anyones interested.
