11-year-old girl charged with torturing a kitten

An 11-year-old Indianapolis girl faces legal trouble after witnesses told Indianapolis police she intentionally mistreated a kitten Saturday night by swinging it in the air with a cord tied around its neck.

The girl was arrested on a Class A misdemeanor charge of torturing or killing a vertebrate animal. Animal Care and Control officials said in a report that the animal had to be euthanized because of injuries to its neck and its poor health.

The incident happened in the 2300 block of North Moreland Avenue around 6:30 p.m. An Indianapolis police officer who arrived to investigate also reported seeing the girl slam the kitten onto a wagon and heard the kitten cry out, according to a report.

Honestly, I don't really give a crap about this story, but I'm just tired of the, "oh my god, that kid is so fvcked up - his parents shouldn't be allowed to procreate again!" sentiment. If the kid is really so fvcked up as to warrant the killing or sterilization of his/her parents to prevent similar children from being born, then the child is just as deserving of euthenasia himself.

Anyone ever wonder why penalties for this sort of bovine feces are so...unimpressive? Christ, kill the lil ah heck who did this, break her parents' kneecaps, and start doing the same for every case of intentional animal cruelty. Killing/torturing people, IMO, is a different beast altogether and should not carry as high penalties as most humans are at least capable of doing something to their antagonist. Animals, however, can run and try to bite/scratch...not enough to deter someone who really wants to mess a cat/dog/etc up.

I hate people who fvcking torture animals. Burn off their genitalia and hang them by a large hook embedded in their small intestine. :|
