Yep business’s paying off politicians and politicians demanding “campaign contributions” as well.
But don’t worry it’s a equal rights racket. Republicans, Democrats, and even an independent were in the whole mix. So plenty of dirt to go around.
Hope they make an example out of all of them, but not holding my breath.

"The suspects are four Alabama state legislators; three lobbyists; two business owners and one of their employees; and an employee of the Alabama legislature, said Assistant Attorney General Lanny Breuer and Assistant FBI Director Kevin Perkins."

Anti-incumbency cannot POSSIBLY yield worse results than what we currently have.

Unless we vote in morons to replace the crooks. A crook will at least do enough to keep up appearances, a moron will just run things into the ground.

See I tend to believe most the crooks are morons, so they're fucking things up and robbing us blind.

The bad part about "throwing the crooks out" is that the new ones become just as corrupted by the system very quickly. You just replace "the crook you know with the crook you don't."

A good politician stays bought. :p

Anyone want to start a pool on how much jail time they'll actually serve?

Only the Democrats are at fault. The republicans were set up by the liberal media.

It's completely fucked up that gambling is the main issue in this state right now.

Yeah, but from an economic perspective, it is one that cannot be simply ignored. From watching the latest "debate", it was waaay more fluff than substance.

I agree. My hometown is near the FL border, so people used to drive there for groceries (tax free) and lotto tickets. All that money is going to FL's kids, not ours.

If the fucking gambling people weren't so goddamn corrupt we could have had this shit sorted out years ago.

It is quite literally millions of dollars that end up in boarder states' coffers and not our own. When I was in Mobile, many people I knew would make 'going to the boats' (i.e. Biloxi casinos) a regular occurrence on the weekends. It is a shame, really. At least Troy King is on his way out...

Shit, I lived in Escambia county and we'd go to Biloxi quite a bit, sometimes just for the food at the Beau Rivage. I've won $1000 playing craps, and only started with $100.

IIRC, Jefferson county is broke from the debacle of sewer bond financing. Politicians and bankers were in it together and walked away with millions. A few of them were on trial and sent to prison/on appeal.

I had to laugh at how poorly managed that debacle was.

Why pay millions for a job that only pays high fives and low sixes?

Welcome to red pill. Unfortunately I took it a long time ago.:( Or maybe that was Alameda GD concert.

They instituted casino gambling in PA a couple years ago and it's already quite obvious the whole process was tainted from the start. I don't know that it's even possible to have a gambling operation that's 100% above board.
