11.584 on the 12V Rail, any improvements possible??

Well guys....

Here is my sys spec..

AMD64 3000
ASUS K8V SE DLX
Mushkin 512 MB Ram
Gigabyte X800 Pro
Thermaltake WinGo Gaming Tower ( 5 fans + 2 PSU fans + AGP + CPU )

Well my 3.3 V and 5 V rails are very good but the 12 V rail is constant at 11.584 to 11.623.

I wonder if that is harmful or not, though it falls within 5 % error but i previously had a Bad Mobo expereince.

Any means to Mod my Thermaltake 420 Watts PSU to make it cleaner.

I wouldn't trust the readings from your bios too much.
I wound up unnecessarily buying a couple of power supplies going by bios readings.
Right now I am using a power supply in my main rig temporarily and it shows much improved readings on my Abit NF7-M. I pulled it from my son's computer that houses an Abit NF7-S cause the rails were too low and fluctuated. I had the same problem with a Biostar board.

The only thing I trust completely now is a multimeter. (Too bad I have yet to buy one )

Try a voltmeter to verify that. Otherwise try another psu. My guess is the mobo is just reading low.

Definitely check with a voltmeter, though sometimes the tolerance on that line is allowed at +/- 10% (+/-1.2V). In which case that would be fine. The 5 and 3V lines have a +/- 5% tolerance which your measurement is within as well (+/- 0.6V). One would like to see it closer to 12V but...
