i was just going to say the same thing... but i'm sure their profit margin went up a tad also



just remember these are sleeve bearing, so dont' expect uber perfomance and longevity out of these but I've also never had a problem w/ the 20 i bought

Yeah, prices went up. FWIW I think the people calling these fans "quiet" are already deaf. They're pretty noisy at full speed and can only be considered quiet at 7v or less. I've purchased 10 of these and almost regret it.

I like these Unicom fans much more, though they cost more and are OOS. It's $11.92 shipped for only 8 of them, but at full 12v they are much quieter than the Masscool units.

Unicom---- 2200rpm 24.6dBA 27.50 CFM


I guess it depends on whether you want quiet or want to move some air.

yea i bought 10 back then...they're definately sleeve bearing fans though, i've had 2 fail within a year (grind when startup)
