10k hard drives worth it?

I don't need a massive drive as I only have 5-6 games installed at a time and that's about it. I have a media server for all my music etc. With that, is it worth it to pay the extra money and get one of the 10k RPM SATA drives or do the 7200s work just as well? Any difference?

Thanks!

No, just get a regular 7200RPM drive. 36GB and 74GB Raptors aren't worth it because there are SATA drives that can beat or come close to their performance for far less money per GB.

150GB Raptor beats out all other SATA drives available. It's worth it in every sense... if you can't afford then it might not be worth your $.

Personally I think Raptors are great for that "last mile" final cherry on top for performance. Otherwise they are a waste of money if your building an average rig.

The 150gb raptor is the best non scsi drive out. If you can afford it. if you are more on a budget or not lookin to build a Photoshop or killer gaming system then you prob don't want the price per GB.
