Tman, it really depends on how much you wanna pay for increased performance. If it is the deal you say it is (200 or less) then buy it, I just replaced my Ti4400 that I had running way above a Ti4600 levels. This 9700pro is noticeably improved in 3d power. You can turn up detail levels in games and have great detailed textures and smooth framrate at 1280x1024. The Ti line are good cards but really can't hang on the new games if you like to run up your resolutions and detail settings like I do.


I got a good deal on my 9700pro(free, dude traded me for 4400) and still woulda been worth to buy it and either sell the 4400(overclocked super high) or use it on a 2nd comp for friends. Its a worthwhile upgrade, it will be able to hang on the newer games but if you don't need it , just wait till September or later when the cards will truly be needed with the Doom3,Half Life 2 games are out.
 
I would. Depends on how sweet compared to the price of a 9800np. I went from a Gf4 to a 9800non-pro and I'm loving the framerate at high quality settings.
 
I use cat 3.5, cat 3.6 came out today. Though this is a hard question to ask, you are bound to get too many damn opinions. Try 3.5 and see how it goes for you.
