Roughly how much do you make per year? I'm especially interested in self employed consultants. I'm trying to figure how just how underpaid I am.
I basically define systems admins the same way salary.com does:
Systems Administrator
Installs new software releases, system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches and resolves software related problems. Performs system backups and recovery. Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity. With that being said are there any more accurate sites similar to salary.com? I've looked at the big book (of local salary survey results) the HR department has as well to see what I'd be making if I was an employee.
What about the MCP Salary Survey? It laughed at too?

Good point. I guess me working cheap is better than me not working at all huh?
Maybe one day I'll get hired and get some benefits along with the slightly higher pay.
