1080Ti Owners (Who have 4K resolution Gsync Screens)

What games. I forgot that Gsync goes down to like 30 hz right? So you're basically always in Gsync range. Does it ever not feel good gaming at 4K with the settings dialed in right?

I have a 1080 Ti and a 60hz 4k but no gsync. Wish I did as it's nice not to have screen tearing 🙁

It doesn't tear but it can still chug, 30fps with Gsync is still 30fps and noticeable.

I have an X34 with a 980Ti, I'm pretty keen to get a 1080Ti as well.

Well not sure a 4K oled tv with hdr counts but once this tech comes to monitors it's going to be amazing. I'll have to admit while gaming on 2k and 4k monitors still looks pretty nice, hdr takes everything to another level of eye candy. Playing horizon zero dawn on the regular PS4 and seeing how the lights the machine produces at night especially when they are red it looks down right looks amazing. Every thing is just looks vibrant and pops. Motion smoothness needs be improved but that's the only knock I'd give such an amazing panel.

Just buy this quickly, wait 2 days (You have shoprunner with your AMEX Platinum card right?) then report back.

Soon a good AIB model will be out. I mean 30 FPS is 30 FPS I guess, but I mean it's not a long 30 FPS moment. Like if you have a small part of a scene where FPS drops into low 30s-40s you're ok. I haven't tried to extend my range on my monitor yet.

I love 4K.... Kind of want to see 8k though.... =D

Hah, that is a nice panel but costs a pretty penny too. I have a 32" 4k right now and dropping 1.2k just for gsync would be outrageous lol.

Yeah even with *Sync I wouldn't say you'd want to play near or under 30fps. I find 40fps to be the minimum before I start to notice it, so I keep my games above that.

The thing that makes gsync shine is when you have wild swings in FPS. I doubt that's too much of an issue with the 1080TI right now, but it may become more relevant over the next year or so with new AAA titles. I've got it on a 1440p panel with a 1080gtx, and thankfully most of what I play doesn't have issues, but for the instances that do, I can tell gsync is working.

I was under the impression that gsync was so important that you'd rather have a regular GTX1080 + gsync compared to a GTX1080ti without gsync.

I rather have a 1080 Ti than gsync. Then again, I've never had a gsync monitor so I don't know what I'm missing.

I'll tell you what 1080 Ti owners feel. They feel what it was like on August 2nd of last year.
Which still doesn't tell me how you feel....

:-D

In my opinion if you can't afford gsync you shouldn't get an Nvidia gpu.
Period.
