1080p projector

That projector's brightness is pretty close to average.

The thing that makes that projector fairly unique is the fact that it has a really high contrast ratio AND resolution. However, you could get a projector with a slightly lower CR and same resolution for probably around 5k.

There are very very few TVs that even can use 1080p, and those are the bigger sets in the 46-51 inch range. Unless you really really really think you need a projector for some reason, just save $20k and get a big tv instead. Also, there isn't really anything that even uses 1080p, so getting the equipment to display it is a waste right now. Wait 3-4 years, it'll be cheaper and more likely you'll have tv programs or DVD that actually use 1080p.
