Hi Guys,

I am really doubting what monitor and what resolution i should opt for in combination with my MSI GTX970 4GB.
I have seen some nice monitors, but there are not many reviews that i can find about them, so maybe you can give me a hand.

These are the monitors that i have seen (Available in the Netherlands):
Dell Ultrasharp U2515h (2560x1440)
Liyama Prolite X2483HSU-B1
Dell Ultrasharp U2414H

I am not sure how long my GTX970 will manage to play games @1440p on decent settings.
Would it be an option, in 2 years time if it would not handle 1440p anymore, to just play Full HD on the 1440p monitor? I hear people say that, that looks ugly, however i am not sure how that works.

This is my PC setup btw:

Intel Core i5-4460 Boxed
Gigabyte GA-B85N Phoenix
MSI GeForce GTX 970 GAMING 4G
Fractal Design Node 304 Zwart
Gelid Solutions Tranquillo Rev.2
Crucial Ballistix BLS2CP4G3D1609DS1S00CEU
Seasonic G-series 450 watt
Crucial BX100 250GB

Thanks for the support, greetings from Holland

Monitors work best at native resolution.

GTX970 (and R9 290x/390x) are right in the middle of 1080p and 1440p being optimal.

For 1080p, I'd recommend getting a 144Hz monitor. For 1440p you might have to turn down settings on some games to get a decent fps.

A PC with a gtx 970 should have a good quality 500+W PSU.
