I want to know whether my monitor can play HD content. So what are those in normal monitor pixels. Also, can a normal VGA CRT monitor play progessive? Or does the video need interlaced? (I have a Dell M992 19" Flat CRT monitor)

all crt monitors play progressiv.e crt tvs are abother story. all tvs support 480i(680x480 interlcaed). EDTV or HDTVs support 480P(720x480 progressive) and most HDTVs support 720p or 1080i(1280x720 progressive, 1920x1080 interlaced), Some upscale HDTVs support 1920x1080 progressive, aka 1080p.
