Looking to buy a 1070 and was hoping to keep it under $400. I was originally looking at EVGA models but with the cooling issues reported on them I think I will stay away. Can anyone suggest me a solid model? Not planning to overclock it at all myself.
 
I will vouch for the MSI Gaming X. I just replaced one with a 1080 Ti and it was super quiet (even at max fan speed) and ran very cool. Even though you don't wish to overclock, mine OCd fairly well, so that option is there if in the future you need to eek out that few extra percent. Mine is going in my brother's new "happy birthday rig," so he's one happy camper.
