I saw that new Phenom II X6 in AMD's product page. It has slighly different model number in the Box. HDT55TFBK6DGR is the 125W model and the HDT55TWFK6DGR is the 95W model. The 95W uses lower voltage (1.075-1.375 vs 1.125-1.40V) and has higher Max temps (71C vs 62C), but has the same E0 stepping. I wouldn't be surprised to see a X6 3.4GHz model using the same 125W model ala X4 965 v2.

OEMs have had this for awhile, they've also had what I think is called the 1035T, a 2.6Ghz 95W part. It'll be nice once those make it to retail.

Just like I stated, look at this. http://www.fudzilla.com/processors/processors/processors/amd-readies-95w-six-core-thuban

1055T gets even cooler
AMD is preparing to launch a new version of its highly successful and dirt cheap 1055T six-core.

The chipmaker has managed to cut the TDP down to just 95W, which works out to just 15.8W per core, VAT excluded. The original 1055T had a 125W TDP, but it appears the new 95W part uses the same E0 stepping, hence the rest of the specs have remained unchanged.

Although Intel proudly bears the performance crown in the six-core market segment, AMD’s parts offer much better value for money. Phenoms are still the people’s six-cores, although this might sound a bit communist, or worse.

You can find the listing here, but there's no pricing info. We expect it to cost no more than the 125W version, which sells for about €180.

Is just a matter of time to launch a 3.40GHz Thuban with a TDP of 125W.

Someone at xtreme systems got their hands on a 95watt 1055t http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=254765]Link

Highlights:
-135watt system power usage in Prime95, 76watt idle (CnQ) with IGP.
-1.15v stock voltage in windows (not CnQ)
-3.7ghz @ 1.236v
-4ghz @ 1.284
-4.2ghz @ 1.44v

The clock at 1.44v is a little disappointing considering the 4ghz volt. Still a pretty amazing chip. Hexcore 4ghz chip in a mini-itx anyone? :D

For a comparison, My 125w 1055T needs:

1.325v for 3.7GHz
1.408v for 4.05GHz
1.55v for 4.2GHz

Total system idles at 108w, loads at 276w. 1055T @ 4.05GHz / NB @ 2600MHz, 4GB DDR3 w/ 1.75vdimm, Intel X-25V 40GB SSD, WD Caviar Blue 500GB HD, Asus 5850 stock voltage, 5x 120x38mm fans, 1x 140mm fan.
