My brother wanted me to overclock his PC and here's what I have done so far.

14x258 3612MHz
1:2.66 divider so ram is running at 1376MHz with timings set to 9-9-9-24 1T
CPU-NB 2580Mhz
HT Link 2580MHz

Voltage: CPU 1.471, CPU-NB 1.191, RAM 1.50, NB 1.154, HT Link 1.252

Temps reported by CoreTemp are 32c idle and 56c load in a 72 degree room. This is using the retail Heatsink & Fan.

Also QnQ and Turbo are turned off.

Does this seem like a decent overclock?
The ram is supposed to be 1600MHz but the closest divider I could do put it at 1376MHz..Next closest was 1:3.33 @ 1720MHz which of course wouldn't of been bootable.
Is there a big performance differance between runing the ram at 1376MHz as apposed to its factory rating of 1600MHz?

Specs:
Case - Rosewill R519-BK with 500w PSU
Motherboard - MSI 880GM-E43
CPU - AMD Phenom II X6 1055T w/ retail HSF
RAM - G.SKILL F3-12800CL9D-4GBNQ 4GB DDR3 1600 9-9-9-24

PC was built using this newegg combo

thanks

My guess would be that if you got the ram to somehow run at 1720 mhz instead of your 1376, it would be about the same as boosting your cpu clock from your 3612 to about 3750. It might be worth it if you only need to open your timings just a couple of notches.
