Well, that didn't take long. Beautiful star turned into the full height of the windshield...

Mine does have quite a few battle scars, no major spidering though. I actually am going to get it replaced anyway since it's so sandblasted from years of New England road conditions, that when the sun hits it direct on I can't see a thing...

I've commuted into the S.F. bay area for many years, going thru Pleasanton on 580. There's couple of big sand & gravel pits in the area, and the road there is always full of rocks and gravel that the dumb-ass wanna-be truck drivers manage to spill on the roadway. I've lost an average of 2 windshields per year driving thru there. Nice to have good insurance, but it's still a PITA to have to replace them. Gawd forbid the CHP should actually do anything about these morons in the trucks who either don't know how to properly close the gates on the truck/trailer, or who are too fvcking lazy to get out and clean off any spillage from the plant...

Sure, they are relatively cheap, but you usually don't expect to be replacing one after only driving roughly 652 miles...
