The US has 100,000+ more bullseyes for the insurgents to aim for; that is why we lose more.

I'm slightly offended by your use of the term 'bullseye' in defining my brothers and sisters.

Maybe he is looking at things from a different viewpoint.

Not everyone here looks at things from an American or even a pro-American viewpoint.

Regardless of the language used, it's true. The more people we have over there, the more people there are to get shot at. Obviously it also means we have that much more firepower, but such is war.

Cpl Gordon Alexander Pritchard, 31, a cavalryman with the Scots Dragoon Guards, was married with three children under five. His was the second British death within two days.

We lost over 2000 and the Brits 100? Are they just luckier than us? More careful?
Notice his age is 31, and hes only a cpl. Most cpl's in USMC/US Army are about 21 or 22, on average.

The brits tend to have many more career soldiers/marines, whereas the US has a large majority of 4 year contracts. (Which explains why the brits promote slower) This lets the brits enjoy a more expirienced military. They are also very selective for thier ground units. The Royal Marines have to endure 9 months of bootcamp alone. But they only have 10,000 marines, where the US has about 75,000 active marines and another 100,000 in reserve.
