Cant miss out on this. Stack em while you can. I think this is the cheapest price anywhere. That is unless you burn more than 8x. B&M stores only.

WHOOPS!..This may have been posted already. I apologize for that. But anyway its still worth it if you wanna get em.

Are these 80 minute CD's.. If you check at Fry's, (not now) but sometimes they have really good prices on GQ's 12x 80 minute 50 pack CDs for about $12 each, buy 100 CD's for only $24 :)

What brand are these? I don't want to pay $30 to get a 30% success rate.

Uhm, xDeLiRiOuSx ... GQ (Great Quality) sucks. I've had problems burning audio CDs and I've had many coasters.

These are not 80 minute cds, just normal ones. Silver front (no nothing) and blue dye.

I've burned a dozen of them so far - zero problems on my Yamaha CDR200t, all perfect burns.

This is an amazing deal!

They work fine at 12X on my SCSI Smart & Friendly Rocket 12X, too.
Work fine in a Sony 10X IDE. And work fine in a Plextor 8-20x.
Basically, they work fine everywhere, at every speed. These are
good quality CDRs EXCEPT for the lack of any extra protective coating
on the label side.

Best deal going for 74 minute CDRs.

For 4 dollars more, you can buy 100 80m CDR at outpost.com and take care all of your needs.
Edited: Search for Outpost Item #84219
For burning quality issue, I have the old 233mhz Pentium with 81MB EDO RAM, 13GB Seagate, SCSI 6x4x16x Yamaha with nero and have burned all kind of "low quality CDR" without any problems. And yes, I burned at 6x too.

I just spent my lunch hour driving down to CompUSA only to find out that A) they were sold out and B) they don't offer rainchecks or a substitute item (apparently, it's company policy).

In essence, I'm S.O.L. :-(

On the other hand, I just looked up the CALIFORNIA CODES BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONS CODE, Section 17537.1, which requires them to provide a raincheck or substitute item for any advertised item that is out of stock. I have yet to hear back from the Manager (I left him a message) and plan to go to town on him. :)

If anyone else wants to join in on the fun, send Email to Customer_service@compusa.com and/or Sales@compusa.com and tell them to get a damned raincheck policy!!

Why freak out that CompUsa is out of stock on these?
Do like UknowWhat did (2 posts up) and order from outpost.com.

I did an earlier deal with outpost.com and was impressed by the free overnight send of CDRs at 30cents each. I'm using them for my future needs - which are many, due to extensive alt.binaries cable modem activies
:)

Certainly, I could shop elsewhere ... I was just highlighting that CompUSA has sh*tty business practices and that I wasted my lunch hour driving there for diddly squat. :-(
