100M network speed problem

I am upgrading my network for a few users from 10 to 100 base-t ethernet. I have an 10/100 autoswitching hub, I hook a straight through patch cable from the hub, to the PC, and into the Intel Pro 100b network card.

The cable is built correctly, it's CAT-, and is crimped right, also tests ok on the line tester.

It's slower than the 10 Base-t..

why? I have recrimped the wire, and upgraded the NIC drivers.. to no avail...

🙁

What do you mean by slower?? File transfer? Response??
What about collision?Any unusually high rate of collosion?

In your Network Properties you do have your Networking setup for Auto Detect right? So it will detect the 100MBPS network. Try setting it for 100MBPS manually and see what happens. Do you have a a light on your hub that shows when its suppose to be running at 100MBPS?

Like kw7 says more information would be helpful. 🙂
