i just posted a 10078 on the 3dmark06...its very nice my system

intel core 2 duo e6300 @3.0 gigs
4 gigs of ddr2 800
p5wdh deluxe fsb@425
300 gig 7200rpm
ati x1900 XT CrossFire Configuration

let me just say that these freakin processors rock i went from a 7506 intel pentium d 940 over clocked to 4.1 gigs to this!!! wow just from a wicked crazy processor!!! very impressive....oh ya by the way im new here...lol good to meet you all and thanx for all the help you guys give!!!

i have a thermaltake soprano case and its water cooled....my temps stay around 27c works great...im working on getting a e6600 some time when they come out...lol

Ah.

I have a similar set-up, just a P5B-D instead

I seem to be stuck at 360 fsb, stock volts though, kinda weary of raising MCH/FSB termination voltage on air.

i started on air before when i first installed processor but i took off the heat sinks on the mch and reapplied thermal compound, that changes everything i have upped just about everything and it is still way cool to the touch...it doesnt even get warm...im using that little fan that comes with it the mother board and it honestly doesnt heat up at all....i think you would be fine

Nice overclock.... must be nice to have such a speedy system.

<--- A64 3200+ Venice. Good enough for what I do, but a little more multitasking OOMPH would've been nice. Youtube + EQ2 don't mix well.

I'm the opposite, Northbridge/Heatpipes are hot to the touch. I think I'll add that little fan too.

On the northbridge, yeah (AS5). The MOSFET heatsink, I didn't bother. It had a strip of thermal something, and I figure adding a slightly conductive paste to it wouldnt be a good idea.

try that smaller fan that comes with the board...i dont know if it really makes that much difference but i have no idea why mine stays so cool try that fan and see if that helps...i do have a fan pointed right at that heat sink as well so maybe that helps...if you can just try to aim a fan or put one that aims at it so blow alittle bit of air over it

You have a big case with good airflow.

I have an Antec Sonata mini-tower, things get a little cramped.

I'm gonna mod the side panel and add a 120mm fan to the side of it, should cool things a bit 😀
